This delta approach provides fault tolerance—failed updates automatically retry on subsequent executions without manual intervention. Chart of Accounts Mapping

Translating Workday organizational data to Oracle’s Chart of Accounts structure required flexible mapping logic supporting multiple dimensions. The integration maps Workday companies to Oracle entity codes, Workday cost centers to Oracle cost center codes, Workday office assignments to Oracle service segment values, and Workday worker types to Oracle headcount STAT accounts (one for employees, another for contingent workers).

These mappings reside in Oracle Integration Cloud lookup tables automatically synchronized from an Accounting Hub mapping repository. This externalized configuration enables updating mappings without code changes, supports environment-specific mapping variations, and provides centralized governance of cross-system data translations.

Reports include employee identifiers, Workday data values, mapped Oracle values, action attempted, API response status, and error messages for failed operations. Entity derives from mapped Workday company codes, account uses headcount STAT codes based on worker type, cost center maps from Workday cost center codes, service derives from office locations, and remaining segments use fixed values. File Security Architecture: All files containing employee data use PGP encryption when stored in OCI Object Storage. Source Workday files, Oracle data extracts, merged comparison files, and result reports all undergo PGP encryption before storage and decryption before processing.
